Continuous improvement of corrugated cartons production quality management (2)

Control Charts

The control chart is to mark the upper and lower limits of control on the sample data graph, which reveals the randomness of the distribution of the sample data, and the staff determines whether the quality is out of control or undergoing natural changes. For example, the control map for the level of corrugation in the production of cardboard boxes by a manufacturer of packaging plants:

Paretoupa

The RTO is a bar graph based on the 80/20 rule that 80% of the problem is mainly caused by 20% of the causes. The map is classified according to important issues and focuses on solving important issues. The data in the above table is expressed as a Pareto chart:

Through analysis of the figure, we can see that the I-question is the first important issue, that is, to solve the problem of corrugation first, and then III becomes the first important issue, that is, the issue of paste becomes the first important issue, and improvement is made.

Scatter plot

A scatter plot is a graphical representation of one eigenvalue relative to another eigenvalue. The correlation of two eigenvalues can be judged by the degree of dispersion of points in the graph. For example, in the production of cardboard boxes by packaging manufacturer A, the scatter plots for the paper paste problem and the corrugating problem are as follows:

Causality diagram

The figure is a process of arranging the process into a series of aggregations that ultimately lead to the generation of products or quality problems. For example, the quality problems that the packaging manufacturer's factory A has produced during the production of cartons are expressed as the following:

The above are just commonly used quality improvement tools. In the production practice, quality improvement ideas must be used to bring the effects of these tools into play. There are many creative sources for continuous improvement of quality, of which the more common are: benchmarking, 5W2H, brainstorming, in-depth interviews, and quality groups.
