Abstract: Based on the case-based idea, this paper analyzes the key technologies of color design based on case-based design by introducing the case-based color design research. This research is applied to the design of industrial products. On this basis, a client-server/server-aided design framework based on internet is constructed, computer-aided on-line modification functions are added, and a professional industrial design system with dynamic interaction capability is developed, thus providing more accurate data for product design and Certain scientific basis.

It enables highly sensitive colors to be subjected to rigorous engineering control by means of quantitative and rational methods, so that they can be introduced into modern interchangeable production methods for processing. Through research, it is found that simple perceptual color design and simple rational color design have certain limitations. In order to overcome this limitation, designers start from the perceptual perception and psychological effects of color, and use scientific analysis methods to use. The transformability of the color in space, quality and quantity in the existing case, combining the relationship between the various elements of the product in accordance with the laws of color and modeling, creating a beautiful, ideal product color effect, which is also based on the case Color design research.

The “863” project's color research adopts a case-based design research method. Through systematic knowledge engineers' extraction of 196 color sample cases, it is found that the color elements in industrial design are more diverse and complex than the modeling elements. Therefore, in order to avoid this limitation, 127 color sample cases were made in actual projects from 2002 to 2004. However, after further research on these color cases, we found that these color cases are not comprehensive enough, because many of these cases were designed under certain scenarios or requirements. In order to avoid one-sidedness, we have increased international and 103 domestic machine tool cases (mainly based on the 2003 Beijing International Machine Tool Show). Through the study of the color sampling of these 426 typical cases, the extraction steps of the case were initially achieved. Afterwards, through the adjustment of the color of the individual case and the modification of the overall color sample, the modification of the case was further realized. Finally, through the system knowledge engineer's color summary study of all cases of the system, 126 color samples were summed up, thereby achieving the final case-based case storage. In this system, 426 color cases were extracted, modified, and stored through three steps based on case design. The knowledge of the color design of CNC machine tools was summed up and the 126 cases were finally obtained. color.
