Researchers from the University of Washington have developed a transformative 3D model calculus program that relies on a large number of celebrity images online to create the corresponding 3D models. They converted Tom Hanks' facial expressions to many celebrity faces, such as former President Bush, and moved the expression of famous Oscar host Neil Patrick Harris to Obama's face. The development of this revolutionary 3D imaging tool took a full five years, and the results will be presented at the International Computer Vision Conference held on December 16th in the paper.
