Marie Dining Chair

Marie is an occasional dining chair that seamlessly blends mid-century design elements with a contemporary twist. It features slim legs crafted from polished brass, a round cushion upholstered in luxurious velvet, and a round backrest. With no armrests, it’s ideal for casual settings such as bars or restaurants.

When it comes to interior design, Humbert & Poyet are renowned for their work at Beefbar Paris, located just a stone’s throw from the iconic Champs-Elysées. Taking over the space where Fermette Marbeuf once stood, the project began with the discovery of a room in the purest Art Nouveau style, albeit heavily damaged: broken arches, missing pilasters, and enameled ceramic panels. Restoring this historic space was essential. To bring it back to life, the architects collaborated with some of the best artisans—carpenters, mirror makers, painters, and decorators. This historical and aesthetic foundation inspired the interior designers, who are known for creating chic and quirky atmospheres that blend old-world charm with modern sophistication. At Beefbar Paris, Art Nouveau and Art Deco elements harmonize with industrial-style ceilings and minimalist woodwork.

In the world of hospitality, Humbert & Poyet also played a key role in designing The Hoxton Paris, where they created 171 rooms blending classic Parisian aesthetics with a retro 1950s vibe reminiscent of small industrial workshops. This dialogue across time is evident in the bathroom designs, which are treated as independent units—multifunctional boxes framed by metalwork that can serve as wardrobes or desks. As the decorators emphasize, “The room decor honors French artisanal expertise from two significant periods in Parisian history: the late 19th century and the 1950s.”
