Analysis of radial runout failure of string water roller

JS2102 double-sided bi-directional book offset press, the radial motion of the upper set of water rollers in the process of running, resulting in the water roller and water transfer roller can not pass water. With the operation of the machine, the string water roller seems to be eccentric when it comes in contact with the plate roller and the water transfer roller. That is, when the machine is moved to contact with the plate roller and the plate roller, the plate roller is used by hand. When it is in motion, the water transfer roller can be turned by hand (idling); when the series water roller is in contact with the water transfer roller, the water transfer roller can not be turned by hand, and the plate roller can be rotated by hand (idling).

The dial gauge is mounted on the water roller, and the machine is operated to run the string water roller one revolution. The radial runout of the water roller is measured by 1 to 2 mm. The machine cannot print normally. The skewer water roll itself has no eccentricity, the skewer water roll is removed, and the shaft heads of the skewer water rolls are removed. It is found that the skewer water roll wears slightly on the shaft surface of the operating surface, but it is still insufficient to cause radial runout of the string water roll.

Assumption 1: If the shaft head of the string water roll is bent, the roll body of the string water roll may be deformed, and radial runout may occur. Then remove the string of water roller head on the lathe inspection, the result is also very concentric shaft head, it is impossible to produce string water roller radial runout. After reinstalling the machine, the water roller still runs radially.

Assumption 2: Since the shaft head of the string water roller is matched with the string water roller body by two steps on the end surface of the shaft head, plus four 8mm external hexagon screws tighten. If you pay attention to burrs or curls when disassembling the end face of the water jet roller head, it may cause the skewed water roller to be misaligned with the shaft head during the assembly process, resulting in radial runout. Excluding the bending of the shaft head and the deformation of the water roller body, it is only possible to cause burrs or curling during loading and unloading. Remove the shaft head of the string of water rollers again and examine it carefully. Sure enough, it is found that both ends have different degrees of burrs or curls during the disassembly process.

After finding out the reason, correct the burrs and curls on the end face of the shaft head and the surface of the water roller body with a file. Set the shaft head on the string of water roller body, must be tightly packed, and then tighten the screws. After starting the machine, everything is normal.
