Bauhaus University is the birthplace of the world's modern design and an internationally renowned architectural school. Guo Qiming himself graduated from the Department of Architecture of Tongji University and Bauhaus University in Germany. In order to promote cultural exchanges between China and Germany, he will also lead a group of Chinese designers to study modern design in Bauhaus, Germany. When talking about the original intention of holding a design China 100 forum, Guo Qiming said that many designers went out of school and found that what they learned was derailed from the market. They wanted to know what others were and wanted to communicate. There are many activities in the design industry. There are forums, cocktail parties, and material traders' conferences, almost all of which are purely commercial activities. At the scene, I invited a lot of well-known designers to do the show, and I couldn't say anything professional. I helped the material dealers cut the ribbon and the photo was finished. This makes Guo Qiming feel that business activities waste too much time. As a designer and a teacher, he hopes to create a purer art platform and let young people and senior designers have more opportunities to communicate. He also urged him to host and plan "Design China."
Opened the "Design Management" series of courses
In 2008, the first phase of the design of China's 100 forums was held. At that time, Wu Zhiqiang, the designer of the Expo, was invited to make a report. After that, the design China was held in Weimar, Germany, Milan, Beijing, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Jinan, etc., and has more than 150 issues. At least one industry expert is invited to give a speech at each issue, so there are at least 150 guests who have participated in the Design China Forum. Participants in these activities are not only simple architects, designers, real estate developers, but also public figures, artists and so on. According to Guo Qiming's recollections, Hong Kong and Taiwan's designers, including Liang Zhitian and other top domestic masters, have basically come, and there are Japanese, German, and Italian design experts abroad. It is not easy to create a pure academic exchange platform with the help of personal strength. It is also easy to see Guo Qiming's influence and personal charm in the industry.
Today's "Design China" 100 Forum is no longer a lecture, but an upgrade to a series of courses. "Today, I came to listen to my East and talked about it. Ecological environment
In the design, Guo Qiming is most concerned with the creation of a good ecological environment to meet the needs of the owners for a healthy life.
Guo Qiming once worked as a clubhouse in Mount Emei, when the owners made a special request. The owner hopes that there will be no light in the clubhouse, but at night it will be able to attract a lot of fireflies, so that everyone can both illuminate and feel a romantic atmosphere. What kind of ecological environment can attract fireflies instead of attracting mosquitoes? This gave Guo Qiming a problem. "It was really attracted." Guo Qiming said that the scenery and scenery there, the natural environment was originally beautiful, Guo Qiming did not want to design a house that could not match such a beautiful environment. “Good design is a respect for land, homeland, and the environment. You can respect this thing very seriously before you can do it.â€
Guo Qiming's emphasis on the ecological environment in his design is not unrelated to his personal growth experience. "I have some orchards in my hometown. When I was a child, I was an apple tree in the mountains. A tree can have 80 kilograms of apples. When the tree is full of fruit, you will feel very shocked and beautiful. At that time, I felt that When the mountains and plains are all such apple trees, I feel very happy. I always have the impression that I want to see the state of the apple tree at home. There is no pollution in the place and no craft. I really like the ecological things." Now with the city As the process progressed, we opened factories, found a lot of roads, and the surrounding environment became worse and worse. The scenery of the original villages and ancient towns was hard to see, which made Guo Qiming feel sorry. China's ecological environment pollution is also very serious. For Guo Qiming, what can be done is to do its utmost to protect its natural environment in the design project, and not to do more damage and transformation.
Indoor ecological design
So, what is the ecological design of the indoor environment? In this regard, Guo Qiming explained: "What landscape you can see in the house, where is the mainstream wind, where is the moon, where can you see the scenery, these should be considered. There are things in the room. The influence, such as camphor wood, a friend of mine bought a set of camphor wood furniture at home, he could not sleep insomnia, go to the hospital just fine, go home and sleepless. The smell of camphor wood can not stand the head In the long run, the nerves are weak. There are 36 plants that are carcinogenic, and there are a lot of greenery in the house. The family is sick. These are the ecological requirements of the indoor environment."
However, Chinese interior designers, architects and landscape architects will do too little eco-design. Green, low-carbon and environmental protection are hot topics in the industry in recent years. We use environmental protection as a slogan, but we really pay attention to environmental protection. ? Guo Qiming believes that environmental protection should not be just cultural and formal. He cited a string of numbers: in interior design, the number of deaths caused by unfriendly building materials is 200,000 a year. "The suicide rate is very high when the environment is bad, so many people's psychological endurance is reduced." This requires designers to pay attention to the indoor ecological environment when doing interior design.
In order to further explain the importance of the indoor landscape, Guo Qiming also gave an example of the newly renovated company environment. "I have an negative ion content in this house. When the sun shines on the house, it will suck in the carbon dioxide and the oxygen will spit it out. What is the oxygen content of this room, and what is the negative ion content? There is no pollution in the carpet and wall of this house. There is no smell at all. Ecology is treating people as a creature. What do you need for this person? Sunshine, air, water It's not comfortable, luxurious, beautiful, it's not important compared to health."
Integrate cross-border resources to form a new company
Since entering the Tongji University in 1993, Guo Qiming has been in contact with the design industry for nearly 20 years. In the past 20 years, he has worked as a teacher, opened a company, took over different design projects, set up designer activities, opened design management courses, and made countless attempts and explorations. Nowadays, he is still trying to find a breakthrough in his career.
In May 2012, Shanghai Hongding Culture and Art Development Co., Ltd. was established, which is the first company in China to be guided by public space art. Guo Qiming is the design director of Hongding Art Co., and he is also one of the founders of the company.
