1. What is the printed material?

Because there are many types of plastic materials, please confirm the nature of the materials. After identifying the material, refer to [Material and Ink] to select the ink.

2, the surface state of the printed material

2 In soft polyethylene [PVC], note that there are no plasticizers, stabilizers etc. oozing out of the surface.

4 When printing on polyester, such as PP and PE, pay attention to the surface treatment of the material is insufficient.

3, ink adhesion

When the adhesion of the ink is not good, the surface is rubbed with alcohol and then printed to check the adhesion of the ink. If the adhesiveness is not good after the test printing is performed under the printing conditions specified by the company, please change the ink or process the surface of the material.

When assessing adhesion and other physical properties, the drying conditions and curing conditions on the inks' product data sheets must be observed.

4, Post-processing of printed materials

Printing the original state of the case and the need for secondary processing. After being processed, make sure that the ink film is resistant to processing.

2 Lightfastness

Inside or outside the house. The most important issue for printing materials used outdoors is light resistance. The light resistance differs depending on the ink series and color, so please check the resistance of various inks with the [Lightfastness List]

Photogenicity. In addition, general color tone inks have lower lightfastness than primary color inks. Special smoke and talk colors have greatly reduced. Please note.

3 Chemical resistance

Printed materials are chemicals that are exposed to alcohol, petroleum, greases, acids, alkalis, etc. in emergencies. Or, as a container for such drugs (resistance to content), there is an ink that is rapidly weak in alcohol resistance.

The pigments of the special metal series are also weak for acids and bases, and are easily discolored.

4 Environmental resistance

The printed material is placed in a heated, cooled, or humidified state. (heat resistance, cold resistance, heat cycle resistance, moisture resistance)

5 Friction resistance

The material was wiped by the hand when it was printed. (Open and close, etc.)

6, the use of ink problems

Solvent inks are flammable. The "dangerous goods" (mostly the fourth type of second oil) that have been classified as fire-fighting laws have become the subject of regulations. However, slow-drying, high-viscosity UV inks, and water-based inks in solvent-based inks are classified as "non-hazardous materials" and are easier to use at this point.

2 Organic solvents

Due to the occupational poisoning prevention regulations of the Labor Safety and Health Act, solvent-based inks are regulated. The object's ink is indicated on the label. However, slow-drying inks in solvent-based inks, some water-based inks, and UV inks do not contain a solvent for a specification.
