Bruno Borrione, a renowned French interior designer, was born in 1961 in Palaiseau. He studied at the Ecole Boutle from 1978 to 1984 and later worked with Nemo, a design agency founded by François Scali and Alain Domingo. He also attended UP6 and joined Philippe Starck’s team in 1985, contributing to various projects in Japan and the United States for Ian Schrager.
During this time, he became involved in high-profile projects such as the Hudson Hotel in New York, the Delano in Miami, and the Mondrian in Los Angeles. His work extended to designing Alain Mikli boutiques across major cities and collaborations with Benedikt Taschen in several global locations. He also contributed to the design of the Faena Hotel in Buenos Aires and the Rio de Janeiro Fasano.
In 2008, Borrione shifted his focus to personal projects, creating Le Placide in Paris, the Intercontinental Hotel on Avenue Marceau, and the Palacio Avenida in Palma de Mallorca. He also started a long-term collaboration with chef Anne-Sophie Pic. His portfolio includes luxury hotels and restaurants in Paris, Madrid, London, and New York, as well as private residences in Beirut, London, and Los Angeles.
Borrione has also been responsible for designing spaces like Les Avisés for the champagne house Selosse, La Table Ronde in Paris by Nicolas Chatenier, and the restaurant Stephanie Scene Quellec. His work is characterized by a blend of contemporary elegance and functional design, making him a respected figure in the world of interior architecture.
