Gomez Associates was established in 1975 by Mariette Himes Gomez, who has been a leading figure in the interior design world for over three decades. The firm specializes in residential projects and some commercial work, known for its modern aesthetic with a touch of luxury. Mariette is celebrated for her ability to blend sleek, contemporary styles with refined elegance, creating spaces that are both stylish and welcoming. Her work has appeared in prestigious publications such as *The New York Times*, *Architectural Digest*, *Architectural Record*, *House Beautiful*, and *Town & Country*. In addition to designing interiors, Mariette has also been involved in furniture design since 1992, showcasing her deep understanding of form, function, and beauty.
Mariette’s journey in design began early, influenced by her architect father and interior designer mother. Growing up surrounded by construction sites and creative energy, she developed a natural eye for design from a young age. Her passion for color and detail was evident even as a child—she recalls selecting chandeliers at just six years old. Her love for pink remains strong to this day, reflecting a timeless appreciation for soft, elegant tones. Over the years, Mariette has redefined her own vision, creating serene, beautiful spaces that offer comfort and inspiration. Her designs often feature architectural details, subtle color palettes, and a mix of elegant antiques and unique personal items, blending high-style glamour with refined simplicity.
Born in New York City, Brooke Gomez grew up immersed in a world of design. Her father, an architect, built her a dollhouse modeled after their brownstone, while her mother introduced her to the art of color selection. These early experiences shaped her into the designer she is today. As a child, she would choose swatches for a duvet and proudly declared, “Any shade of pink!â€â€”a preference that still holds true today. Brooke has worked on a wide range of projects, from New York apartments to beach houses across the country. She recently completed a full renovation of a Greenwich Village townhouse and designed Bethenny Frankel’s Tribeca loft for Bravo’s *Bethenny Ever After*. While she shares her mother's love for pastels, Brooke brings her own flair with bold colors and patterns, making her work stand out in the design world.
Brooke’s portfolio includes luxury residences across the U.S., from Connecticut to Florida, and even international locations like Turks and Caicos. She has also worked on high-profile projects for celebrities such as Michael J. Fox and Sigourney Weaver. Her approach to design is both personal and professional, bringing a sense of warmth and individuality to every space she touches.
