Therefore, it's clear that motion control technology is one of the main differentiators between high-end, mid-range, and low-end packaging machinery. The lack of advanced technological support has become a major bottleneck for the growth of China’s high-end packaging industry.
Currently, China's carton packaging equipment is relatively fragmented, with limited availability of fully integrated systems. Packaging machinery refers to equipment that can complete all or part of the packaging process for products. Using mechanical packaging offers numerous benefits, including increased productivity, reduced labor intensity, and better compliance with large-scale production and hygiene requirements. From this perspective, the future of packaging machinery looks promising. However, without access to high-end core technologies, China may continue to be limited to manufacturing for others rather than leading in innovation.
According to data from China's packaging box trading network, domestic companies face a significant gap compared to their international competitors in terms of technology development concepts. This has resulted in insufficient research funding and R&D investment, further hindering technological upgrades. Additionally, the lack of high-tech talent is another major factor limiting the advancement of the industry. Addressing these challenges will be critical for the long-term growth and competitiveness of China’s packaging machinery sector.
