If you forget to carry a bag to go shopping, you will most likely have to hold it back with your hands.
Plastic bags are convenient and cheap, but they cause serious pollution to the environment. Disposable packaging plastic bags have been abandoned to fields and rivers and lakes, which can cause food crops to be reduced, water creatures to die, livestock to eat and die, etc.; after burning, it will lead to poisoning of the atmosphere; when buried underground, it will not be bad for a hundred years. Therefore, the recycling rate is very low, and it has become a “white hazard” that pollutes the environment along with disposable foam plastic lunch boxes and polyvinyl chloride plastic film.
In the early 1990s, the harmfulness of "white pollution" has caused concern in various fields and has been referred to governments at all levels. In June 1991, China officially announced that it was a party to the Montreal Protocol. It bears responsibility for the ozone layer and the global environment on which humankind depends; on October 30, 1995, the sixteenth session of the Standing Committee of China's Eighth People’s Congress adopted the “Solid Waste”. However, due to the high price or limited use of substitute products for disposable packaging plastic bags, the promotion rate is very low. In many occasions, disposable packaging plastic bags are still used.
In fact, in many cases, people can reduce the use of disposable packaging plastic bags. For example, self-provisioned shopping bags are a positive measure. Of course, the levy of "plastic bag tax" may be more policy-oriented and mandatory.
In the current situation where the plastic degradation technology is not yet mature, we vigorously stop the abuse and littering of disposable packaging plastic bags, and the excessive consumption of plastic packaging products, adopting “recycling as the main factor, degradation as the supplement, and multi-methods in parallel”. The "participation" method is an effective way to solve the "white pollution" problem.
