Create a sketch
3D rendering
The first step in production is to create 2D sketches, including adjusting the animated appearance of the character design. 3D printing
After the 3D model was created, 3D printing began. The author used a high-precision SLA 3D printer. The reason for choosing this printer is because SLA 3D printing technology is considered to be more common than our common FDM 3D printing technology. Fine and accurate, the details are clearer. This fineness can be clearly seen in Disney's video, especially on small arm prints, the texture is very clear.
Spray coloring
After the printing is completed, the support is removed, the rough edges are sanded, the various flaws are removed, and the various 3D printed components are assembled. The last step is to paint and color. The video below completely records the production process of this doll.
