Nowadays, most of the large-volume adhesive label printing is mainly based on letterpress and flexo printing. However, the demand for personalized small-batch adhesive labels on the market is increasing. Those formats are six-open and eight-bill. Sheets of paper, batches of several thousand, hundreds of copies of the web label job appear to be incapable of printing.

From the perspective of printed products, low-volume live parts require low costs, short delivery times, bright and colorful product quality, and a high level of layout. According to this situation, many small-scale printing companies adopt a six-color monochrome offset press for four-color overprinting, which has also achieved very good results.

1. Reduce printing costs

In the offset, emboss, gravure and other printing, offset printing is undoubtedly the lowest cost printing method. In the prepress process, the relative complexity of the flexographic plate making process, PS version of the production, out of the film, printing process, for the printing plant is a familiar way. From the technical point of view, all printing companies turned to offset printing after eliminating lead printing, and there was no additional burden.

If a reel sticker printing machine is used, there will be a loss of more than ten meters of paper when it is turned on. If the overprint adjustment is not good, and the unit-type printing press has a long paper feeding path, the waste is greater, and the offset printing machine can use other paper. Over-printed paper saves adhesive materials.

Offset printing media are very inexpensive compared to embossed and flexo printing plates and do not require much auxiliary material. When printing different thicknesses of paper, the printing pressure can be adjusted at will. The printing practice has proved that the cost can be reduced to "minutes" by printing small stickers on an offset printing press. If it is processing, even if profits are calculated using "PCT" or "millimeter", profits are available.

2. Guarantee print quality

China's self-adhesive labels are mostly multi-layered and rich in graphic and textual work. In particular, small batches of labels often require colorful and offset printing. If you need to increase the thickness of ink, you can use the advantage of overprinting to perform secondary printing. In addition, the offset printing quick-drying ink is used to add a desiccant to the ink, and the powder-spraying method after printing can effectively solve the problem of stained prints and improve the printing speed.

3. Shorten the printing cycle

Short print job printing emphasizes timeliness. If the previous plate making process is complicated and the plate making cycle is long, it will inevitably affect the commencing period. The offset printing platemaking cycle is short. For more complicated patterns, the short lived label printing with strong timeliness is a suitable choice.

However, there are still some difficulties in printing offset materials with an offset press. There are two main points:

1) Adhesive materials are currently sold in reel fashion, printed on a sheet-fed offset press, and must be cut to flat sheets. If the printing factory makes its own decision, it will take time and effort and it will require the help of adhesive material suppliers. In addition, the self-adhesive paper that has just been modified is in a curled shape and needs to be flattened. After being flattened for a long period of time, the paper must be processed before printing.

2) The offset press does not have a die-cutting unit. The printed adhesive-printed sheet is not a finished product. The die-cutting machine must be used for post-press processing. Die-cutting, such as elliptical, triangular, or other special-shaped label finished products, requires an additional process. Working hours.

There are many successful cases for printing small-lot stickers on the six-color monochrome machine. For example, a factory in Wenzhou Cangnan adopts a Weihai Haitian WH47 six-color monochrome machine, and one class can print 3-4 batches of four or so four-color self-adhesive labels. Based on the processing fee of 60 yuan per color (minimum labor price), the profit per shift is equal to 3 batches/day x 60 yuan/color x 4 = 720 yuan/day. If the source of living is sufficient, the monthly gross profit can reach more than 20,000 yuan.
