Today, the Das Technology Data Recovery Center had a customer who accidentally deleted important text messages on his vivo X5 and wanted to recover them. In this article, I will share how to recover Android phone text messages using a real case as an example.
Preparation for Mobile Data Recovery
First, open the official website of Darth Mobile Phone Recovery Software: http://download. Download the professional version of the software, install it, and launch it. The phone model in need of recovery is the vivo X5 with Android 5.0. Connect your phone to the computer using a data cable. On the phone, go to "Settings," then tap "About Phone." Tap the "Phone Version Number" seven times with your finger to enable Developer Options. Then, go back and select "Developer Options." Enable USB Debugging to complete the setup.
Once everything is ready, click "Start Connection" as shown in Figure 1:

After a successful connection, the software will display the basic information of the device. Click "Android" in the navigation bar, then choose "Android SMS" on the left side. Click the red circle to start scanning for SMS data. Select the database file (mmssms.db) and open it. Depending on the size of the database, the scan usually completes in just a few seconds, as shown in Figure 2:

Once the scan is done, the deleted text messages will be highlighted in red. You can easily export the desired messages by right-clicking on the interface. This is how you can recover Android phone SMS data. Try it out on your own phone!
