CPVC extrusion process

CPVC has excellent heat resistance, flame retardancy (small smoke) and good rigidity, which makes its application more and more widely, and its market potential is becoming increasingly inestimable. However, the extrusion processing of CPVC is very difficult, and the large release of hydrogen chloride gas due to improper process control results in severe corrosion of processing equipment and molds.
Changzhou Zhuocheng Plastics Co., Ltd. has made a lot of research work to make CPVC have similar PVC processability. The scientific and technical personnel headed by Zhang Xiaowen have successfully developed a CPVC pipe that is similar to the PVC processing technology. The Vicat softening point is not Below 110°C, the heat resistance is 30 ~ 40 °C higher than UPVC, 15 ~ 25 °C higher than ABS, aging resistance and chemical resistance are much higher than that of ABS and UPVC. The toughness and impact resistance of the material are not inferior to those of UPVC. The flat test can be pressed to 0, and can be processed into a flexible sealed flaring form like UPVC pipe, changing the previous CPVC pipe can only be bonded by adhesive bonding, making its application more widely. This is a major breakthrough in the current CPVC extrusion process. It will guide the domestic plastic pipe industry into the new material field of CPVC.
