Foreign product packaging size

Food goes to oversized packaging
Food trends towards super-large packaging is one of the success stories of the US market in recent years.
Heinken Beer sold over 5% of its beer because of its new 640 ml (21.6 in 2) bottles. Dutch brewer VanMunching’s US subsidiary also plans to use its 640ml bottle of “Amsted” beer at the beginning of the new century. The "Grands" biscuits produced by the 126-year-old Pillsbury Company also use extra-large packaging that is 40% larger than the original packaging. At the end of August last year, the number of cakes sold for this brand increased by 51%. The company claims that the reason for adopting this kind of packaging was inspired by customers in fast food restaurants who are interested in oversized breakfast biscuits.
According to market promotion analysis, oversized packaging can cause new products to attract consumers' attention. Homell Brewery's newly launched "Arizona Ice Tea" uses 710 milliliters (24-by-two) cans. The packaging is on shelves and looks like a giant, more prominent than other beverages.
Large-scale foods have also emerged in fast-food restaurants, such as Pepsi-made Italian-style bake pies, which are 60-30 cm (24 x 12 inches) in size, and the company hopes for a new, large-scale stuffing that has never been seen before. Cakes are widely popular and they expect to sell billions of dollars annually.
On the contrary, micro foods have lost in the market. Earlier this year, sales of "Elfkin" cookies, "Rondos" ice cream, and "Keebler" mini-chips each fell by 40-60%.
Compression of body-crystal volume is beneficial to retail
Unlike the food industry, the US health and beauty products are shifting toward miniaturization while using smaller packaging.
Bottled deodorants, which have a whiteboard carton outside the traditional bottle, have now been removed. The box of concentrated detergent was also smaller than before, but its capacity was the same as before. Diapers become narrow and the packaging shrinks accordingly. The inner liner wound on the toilet paper is also squashed, but when the outer wrapper is removed, the liner will loosen and return to normal diameter. In the past, the standard 4-pack toilet paper package now holds 8 rolls of toilet paper.
Cosmetics, beauty, and cleaning products companies often use environmental protection as a reason for switching to miniaturized packaging. However, market analysts believe that their initial goal is to meet the needs of retailers to reduce shelf space.
In the past, the food industry had gone through the stage of making products and packaging smaller. Now how long the non-food sector will adopt a smaller stage will remain to be seen. It remains to be seen.
