New network format for printing approved

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), a group that specifically sets standards for the Internet, has defined the Scaleable Vector Graphics (SVG) format as a special format for printing. The SVG format supported by the Adobe system is a format used to increase the dynamic effects of websites, and is considered to be an opponent of Flash.

And this is also a format with a clear XML framework that can be used for cross-media publishing. The publication of the first SVG Printing Requirements document took another step in this direction.

These characteristics mean that SVGP is likely to have advantages over Acrobat. The alliance has described the use of SVG in the printing of variable data, digital photo books and desktop printing. The format also supports device-specific profiles.
