After receiving the project, Xia Yongbin and colleagues Gao Chengfei, Zhao Haibin, Li Yanfeng and so on went to the site for many times, and designed a solution to the existing automatic conveyor line for the current production status of the enterprise.

Based on the existing conditions and the objectives to be achieved, the project team analyzes the difficulties of the project and subdivides them, and finally refines the tasks to everyone.

Xia Yongbin is the person in charge of the project. Considering the design of the project, the grasp of the project's progress time and the communication with the company, the electrical engineer Gao Chengfei is responsible for the design of the control plan. The mechanical part is designed by Li Yanfeng for the brick gripper and vacuum gas path. Zhao Haibin is responsible for the design of the plastic conveying line, push brick mechanism, robot bracket and protective net.

In the design stage of the project, everyone did not encounter difficulties. For example, the research team must consider the original conveyor line of the enterprise and consider how to most easily and effectively connect the plastic conveying line with the existing insulated brick conveying line, and also consider the working space on site.

“Through several on-site inspections, we skillfully used the existing small-scale running conveyor line of the company as the connection part with the shaping conveyor line, and realized our design without changing the original conveyor line, while saving. Space, reliability is also good." Xia Yongbin told reporters.

From "claw" to "sucker"

In this project, how to design the "hand claw" brick is a difficult problem. Because the brick shape of the brick is large, the upper and lower mouths of the brick are not the same, and the brick is also fragile.

“The vacuum adsorption technology previously made by other colleagues in our comprehensive research institute used suction cups to absorb bricks. Experiments have proved that this not only solves the problem of grabbing bricks, but also solves the problem of brick stacking,” Xia Yongbin said.

The artificial bricks produced by the enterprise, the bricks of the same batch will also cause the dry humidity of the artificial bricks to be inconsistent due to the uneven water supply of the mixing materials. The size error of the polished bricks after drying is large, and the bricks of the suction cups will be bricks. The deformation is large, the suction cup is not allowed to brick, and the brick cannot be sucked.

In order to make the embryo bricks more stable, the scientific research team considered in the first plan to “shape” the single bricks to achieve the equal spacing between bricks and bricks. In practice, it has been found that the shaping of a single brick does not meet the production tempo required by the enterprise. After repeatedly adjusting the shaping scheme, we found that changing the suction pad spacing can improve the stability of the brick.

When the scientific research team performs on-site debugging, the center distance of the suction cups is adjusted by the control, so that each suction cup can accurately suck the corresponding bricks.
