According to customs statistics, in the first three quarters of 2013, China exported 4.153 million tons of paper and paperboard, up 17.6% year-on-year, valued at 4.93 billion US dollars, up 16.6%. The export volume of newsprint and kraft paper increased significantly, and the export volume was 50,000 tons and 114,000 tons, a substantial increase of 15.2 times and 1 time respectively; inorganic coated paper exports of 2.514 million tons, an increase of 7.5%; corrugated base paper and coated paper respectively exported 36,000 tons and 1.025 million tons, respectively increased by 47.7 % and decreased by 8.8%.
In the first three quarters of 2013, China exported 412,000 tons of inorganic coated paper to ASEAN, an increase of 19.2%. Among them, 254,000 tons of inorganic coated paper was exported to Japan, down 35.2% year-on-year.
In the first three quarters of 2013, China exported 221,000 tons of coated paper to Japan, down 31.8%, accounting for 21.5% of China's total exports of coated paper in the same period; and exported 148,000 tons of coated paper to ASEAN, down 1.6%, accounting for Chinese coated paper. 14.4% of total exports.

Exports of Qingdao Port and Shenzhen Port ranked second and third respectively, with exports of US$ 870 million and US$ 710 million respectively.
Nanjing Port exported 761,000 tons of inorganic coated paper, a decrease of 9.5%. Shenzhen Port exported 32,000 tons of corrugated paper, an increase of 51.7%. Qingdao Port exported 30,000 tons of newsprint, a substantial increase of 16.6 times. Shenzhen Port and Shanghai Port respectively exported 55,000 tons and 25,000 tons of kraft paper, which increased by 1.3 times and 1.3 times respectively.
In the first three quarters of 2013, foreign-invested enterprises exported 2.905 million tons of paper and paperboard, an increase of 10.9%, of which 1.83 million tons of coated inorganic coated paper, an increase of 3.2%; 5.6 tons of exported kraft paper, accounting for the total export of Chinese kraft paper 48.9%. Private enterprises have become the main force in the export of China's newsprint, with a total export of 37,000 tons, accounting for 74% of China's total news paper exports.
